Copa Relaunches Flights to St Maarten

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 2, 2022

Panama’s Copa Airlines has relaunched its service between Panama City and St Maarten.

The airline has resumed the flights after a more than two-year hiatus amid the pandemic.

Copa is the only carrier currently offering nonstop services between St Maarten and Central America.

The route is running twice each week, with service on Wednesdays and Fridays; Copa is operating the service on Boeing 737 aircraft with capacity for 160.

“Copa plays a vital role via its Central American hub and is increasingly important for our hub network in the Caribbean,” said Brian Mingo, CEO of Princess Juliana International Airport.

“Copa Airlines is excited to start operations once again in St. Maarten and continue supporting the development of the region through the connectivity offered by the Hub of the America’s in Panama, connecting the Caribbean with the rest of the continent,” said Karen Sanne, Regional Sales Manager for Copa Airlines.
