The Ritz-Carlton St Thomas has named a new executive chef, the property announced this week.
The property has tapped Jose Sanchez as its new executive chef, a role in which Sanchez will oversee the property’s four dining outlets, including a new Sicilian eatery called Alloro.
The Ritz-Carlton, St Thomas also announced the appointment of Carlos Gutierrez as its new director of food and beverage.
The hotel, which is the leading luxury hotel in the USVI, is slated to make its long-awaited return in December 2019.
“I’m extremely excited to join the team at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas, especially as the resort prepares to welcome back guests this December,” Sanchez said. “I look forward to bringing my own innovations and approaches to island-inspired cuisine. The scenic beauty of St. Thomas may be the main draw for visitors, but my goal is to make sure the culinary experiences are just as spectacular.”
