The island of Saint Lucia is the latest to benefit from JetBlue’s expansion of its Mint premium cabin service in the Caribbean.

JetBlue launched its newest Mint route to the region this week with a new flight from Boston Logan to Saint Lucia’s Hewanorra International Airport.

Mint, JetBlue’s new premium cabin, includes fully lie-flat seats (including massage features), comforters and pillows, individual setback TVs and unlimited snacks.

Other amenities include fresh espresso from JetBlue’s purpose-built cappucino machine, amenity kits by Hayward and Hopper, free signature cocktails, free Wi-Fi service and a tapas-style menu from New York’s Saxon + Parole eatery.

“This is exciting news for our destination as the introduction of the JetBlue Mint service from Boston shows continued growth in our luxury sector out of Northeast United States,” said Tiffany Howard, the acting chief executive officer of the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority. “Our goal at the SLTA is to continue welcoming more visitors to Saint Lucia and JetBlue, as a partner, continues to complement our marketing efforts.”

It’s another new route for Mint in the Caribbean, an area where JetBlue clearly sees growth in premium service, particularly out of the Northeast market.

Next in line for a Mint expansion?

St Maarten, which will get Mint service on Saturday flights from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport and Boston Logan beginning in February 2019.

JetBlue already offers the Mint option on several flights to Caribbean destinations including Barbados, Aruba and Grenada.

It began operating Mint flights from New York to Saint Lucia in 2016.
