One of the top luxury stays in Mexico has announced the debut of a major new chef.

Grand Residences Riviera Cancun has announced the appointment of Guido De La Mora as the resort’s new Executive Chef.

Native to Mexico and trained in worldwide molecular and modern cuisine, De La Mora strives to elevate traditional dishes to the next level by incorporating contemporary twists, the property said in a statement.

“We are thrilled to welcome Guido De La Mora as the new Executive Chef at Grand Residences Riviera Cancun and look forward to seeing how his worldwide success creates a new level of delectable dining experience for our guests,” said Daniela Trava Albarran, Onsite Manager at Grand Residences Riviera Cancun. “De La Mora’s vast knowledge of ingredients from various regions around the world will elevate the cuisine to a new measure of enjoyment.”

De La Mora brings more than 20 years of culinary experience to the new role at the Grand Residences, a place we’ve called the best-kept secret in Mexico.

Having led kitchens and created dining experiences for guests around the world, De La Mora will be able to incorporate his techniques into the menus at all three of the resort’s onsite restaurants/beachside bars – Flora de Canela, El Faro Grill and Heaven Beach Bar – and across the resort’s Chef in Suite services.

Prior to joining Grand Residences Riviera Cancun, the new Executive Chef held similar titles in multiple Michelin Star or 5-Star restaurants in countries such as Spain, Kuwait, Qatar, the U.S. and in Mexico.
