Cayman Islands “Fully Open For Business”

The Western Caribbean was untouched by this month’s major hurricanes, and the Cayman Islands is reminding travelers that it is “fully open for business.”

“The Cayman Islands is fortunate to provide all travelers, including any displaced groups the opportunity to experience its world-class beaches, dining, accommodations and deepest Caymankind hospitality at a time when it is needed most,” the destination said in a statement.

The three-island destination, which includes Grand Cayman, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac, has regularly been at the top of Caribbean Journal’s must-visit destination lists in recent years.

Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach was voted as the best beach in the Caribbean by CJ readers last year.

“On behalf of the government and people of the Cayman Islands, our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to our fellow Caribbean people and those in the U.S. who have been impacted by the hurricanes,” said Cayman Islands Tourism Minister Moses Kirkconnell. “We understand all too well the devastating effect these storms can have on life and livelihoods, and we stand in solidarity with them in the rebuilding process and healing of their communities.”

“We continue to extend our deepest sympathies to our Caribbean neighbors and all those who were affected by the recent hurricanes, along with the hope for a swift recovery,” said Rosa Harris, Director of Tourism, the Cayman Islands. “We feel extremely blessed to be able to welcome travelers throughout the region and globally to experience our diverse three-island paradise, and especially those whose previous vacation plans were disrupted or are simply seeking respite.”
