Paradisus Cancun Completes Renovation Project

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 6, 2017

Paradisus by Meliá has completed a $2.6 million renovation to the brand’s Royal Service Ocean View Suites and exclusive Royal Service Lounge at Paradisus Cancun in Mexico.

The large-scale renovation transformed 135 Royal Service Ocean View Suites to develop an open-air concept with nature-inspired design details, conceptualized and executed by Melia Hotels International’s architect Alvaro Sans.

In December 2017, the resort will introduce a second phase of the property refresh with new Royal Service Lagoon View Suites and a private Royal Service Solarium.

“We are thrilled to offer our Royal Service guests an enhanced luxury experience during a getaway to Paradisus Cancun,” said Santiago Rivera, General Manager of Paradisus Cancun.

“Our goal was to create a space that takes full advantage of our amazing ocean-views amid an elevated guest experience, marked with upscale services and accommodations, and we know even the most discerning guests will love these new accommodations.”

Beginning this spring, Royal Service guests will enjoy a new design palette that includes inspiration derived from the natural surrounding environment, mirroring ocean views and fresh tropical landscape.

Ocean-front views are now visible from every angle of the suites through a glass wall lightly separating the bathroom from the bedroom.

Each suite is now equipped with 50-inch HD televisions along with espresso machines and tea service.
In addition to the new suites, Royal Service guests at Paradisus Cancun now have access to an exclusive treatment at the property’s YHI Spa.

The new Dead Sea Treatment consists of an innovative magnetic facial spa treatment infused with black pearl powder, pure oils and plant extracts that accelerates the cellular dynamics and exfoliates dead cells.

The mask is later removed with a special magnet for a restored and radiant complexion.
