This Is Your New Cocktail From Turks and Caicos

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - August 9, 2016

With a week of National Rum Month already on the calendar we’re continuing to bring you rummy cocktail recipes from some of our favorite Caribbean hotels. Today’s libation comes courtesy of Ocean Club Resorts, a pair family-friendly hotels smack on the sands of Grace Bay on Providenciales in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

A hit during happy hour at both resorts, the Koo-Koo Cabana is an intoxicating combination of coconut rum, melon liqueur and vodka that Ocean Club says is “shaken with love.” And after a few swigs, we bet you’ll be feeling it.

Ocean Club Resorts’ Koo-Koo Cabana

Ingredients:

½  ounce melon liqueur

½  ounce coconut rum

½  ounce vodka

½  ounce sour mix

Pineapple juice

Method: Shake all ingredients (except pineapple juice) together with ice and pour into a tall glass. Top off with pineapple juice. Garnish with wedges of orange and lime, and enjoy.
