The first-ever TRYP By Wyndham hotel has opened in Mexico.
The new property, which is located just a few steps from the World Trade Center in Mexico City, is the brand’s 20th hotel in the wider region.
“We are proud to announce the opening of the first TRYP by Wyndham hotel in Mexico, a major market of focus for our expansion plans in the region,” said Paulo Pena, president and managing director for Wyndham Hotel Group in Latin America and the Caribbean. “We are confident that this brand, globally recognized by its iconic city style and its passion for the cities in which it’s located, will continue to grow in the most important urban centers of the country, to the satisfaction of both corporate and leisure travelers.”
The property includes a fitness centre, free WiFi, a business centre and a restaurant on the top floor, among other amenities.
“We are very excited to work with Wyndham Hotel Group, a leading, global hotel company, to open the first TRYP by Wyndham in Mexico,” said Rex Mangwani, the hotel’s owner. “With the hotel’s unbeatable strategic location, unique design, and amenities – from the panoramic view of the top-floor restaurant to the bar with its delicious tapas – we believe travelers visiting Mexico City will enjoy every detail of their stay here.”
Wyndham has 120 TRYP properties around the world. It had recently been expanding in the region, most notably with the new Wyndham property in Grand Cayman.
