Dominican Republic President Danilo Medina has officially appointed Alejandro Zarzuela Arias as the country’s new Ambassador to Brazil.
The Caribbean country’s new envoy had been serving as Minister Counsellor at the Dominican Republic’s Embassy in Brazil, after having served in the same post at the country’s embassies in both Spain and Portugal.
Medina also named the delegation that will be representing the Dominican Republic at the inauguration of Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff.
That group will include Sarah Guemez Naut, vice-minister of foreign relations and Hector Dionisio Perez, the country’s outgoing Ambassador to Brazil.
