Antigua’s Hermitage Bay resort is expanding with two new beachfront suites, the property announced this week.

The new suites will increase the property’s total number of freestanding suites to 27.

Hermitage Bay currently has five beachfront suites, “not nearly enough to keep up with the requests for this particular accommodation,” the property said in a release.

“Our Beachfront accommodations have always been popular due to the unobstructed views of the ocean and close proximity to the beach,” said Andy Thesen, Owner of Hermitage Bay, in a release. “We are adding two more because we have ample room to do so without affecting the privacy and natural beauty of the resort and we’d also like to even out the ratio between Hillside Suites, currently numbering 17, and Beachfront Suites of which we previously had only five.”

The two suites are slated for completion by the holiday season of 2014/2015, according to the property.
