Marriott Is Opening Four New All-Inclusive Resorts in the Caribbean, Including a New W Hotel

By: Alexander Britell - December 28, 2024

The world’s first-ever W all-inclusive. A boutique beach hotel in Barbados. An ultra-luxe resort in the Mexican Caribbean. An adults-only island hideaway. Marriott has been adding dozens of all-inclusive resorts across the region in recent years, and now the All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy is poised for a very big 2025.

So what’s new in the pipeline?

For starters, the soon-to-debut The House, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, Adults-Only, which is opening under the Marriott all-inclusive banner in the first quarter of next year. We’ve stayed at The House many times over the years, and it’s long been one of our favorites anywhere in the region, from its famous champagne breakfast to its torch-lit, clubby vibe, with rooms starting at $1,175 per night in March.

Then there’s Treasure Beach, another one of the Elegant Hotels portfolio in Barbados that Marriott kicked off its all-inclusive push with back in 2019, and it’s another new member of the Autograph Collection. The 35-room, artsy, elegant boutique has a delightfully intimate feel, with a lovely central pool, a prime perch of beachfront on the Platinum Coast and excellently appointed rooms with little touches like Nespresso machines. It’s planning a March 2 debut, with rooms at $1,158 based on double occupancy.

In the Mexican Caribbean, Marriott is cementing its position in the ultra-luxe segment, with the debut of the transformed Paraiso de la Bonita resort, another adults-only retreat that was in its prior iteration one of our top-rated resorts in the area.

The 100-room hotel, which will be part of the Luxury Collection, will have seven dining concepts, from the Chinese-flavored Qin Qin to the authentic Yucatan eatery called K’uhul to a nighttime piano bar called Bonita. It’s the second big opening in the broader Mexican Caribbean in just a few months, following last month’s debut of the new Almare resort on Isla Mujeres. ETA? Feb. 1, with rates beginning at $739.

The most highly anticipated addition might be the one coming in the second quarter of 2025: the new W will be the first-ever all-inclusive under the W brand, one known for its hip, energetic vibe. But all-inclusive has been changing, and now the W brand fits in seamlessly to what many modern travelers want: the convenience of never having to reach for your wallet with the soul of a boutique hotel. The 340-room W (with all of the W inclusions you expect like the Wet Deck) will be set in the Uvero Alto area of Punta Cana (one of the destination’s more popular resort spots, home to some very good beaches), with a mix of rooms that will, yes, include some swim-up options. Right now, the resort has a targeted opening date of April 15, with rates starting at $949 per night.
