Heading to Anguilla? Cape Air Has a New Year-Round Flight From St Thomas, USVI

Meads Bay. Blanchard’s. Aurora. Gwen’s Reggae Grill. Veya. The Greg Norman-designed golf course. Garvey’s. The Q. 

It’s no surprise that Anguilla is one of the Caribbean’s most beloved little islands, home to some of the best beaches you’ll ever see and an enviable collection of top hotels and restaurants.

Getting there isn’t always a straight shot, though, typically meaning a flight to St Maarten and a ferry hop over the water.

But there’s a new way to fly there through one of the islands with the best airlift in the Caribbean: St Thomas.

Beginning Nov. 1, top regional carrier Cape Air is resuming its daily nonstop service between St Thomas and Anguilla, creating a crucial new connection between the two islands.

The flights are already bookable, and, more importantly, through Cape Air’s partners like Delta, JetBlue, United and Alaska Airlines, you can book (and send your luggage) all the way from your home airport to Anguilla on one ticket and one itinerary.

Cape Air, which has been operating in the Caribbean since 1998, has a growing network of flights within the Caribbean, with daily flights on its Cessna 402 aircraft and hubs in destinations like St Thomas and San Juan.

You can fly on more than 80 flights every day to sought-after spots like St Thomas, St Croix, Tortola, Nevis and Virgin Gorda, Mayaguez and Culebra.

“The return of the Cape Air route between St. Thomas and Anguilla further elevates the connectivity of the U.S. Virgin Islands and our neighbors throughout the Caribbean. The continued regrowth of inter-Caribbean routes aligns with our collective regional push to increase and enhance the cross-island travel experience for residents and visitors alike,” said USVI Tourism Commissioner Joseph Boschulte.
