The First-Ever SLS All-Inclusive Resort Is Opening Near Cancun in November 

The pool parties. The nightlife. The sleek, crisp design. The chef-driven restaurants.  The always-energetic vibes. 

They’re all signatures of the SLS brand. One thing the SLS brand has never been known for? All-inclusive resorts. 

But that’s about to change next month with the debut of the first-ever SLS all-inclusive, with the November debut of the SLS Playa Mujeres resort. 

So when does it open? The resort has availability beginning Nov. 10, according to the SLS web site. 

The new-build, 498-room resort will be a big-time addition to Playa Mujeres, the exclusive, waterfront community near Cancun, set just across the water from the island of Isla Mujeres (which is itself about to welcome a major new all-inclusive resort soon). 

It’s a big step in parent company Accor’s new foray into the all-inclusive market, something the company is calling 

So what do you need to know? 

While SLS is typically not a brand you think of for families, the new SLS will be a family-friendly resort, the company says. 

There will be a prime beachfront area and access to an impressive list of 18 different dining concepts, from a New York-inspired sports bar called Hudson Tavern to a kid-focused comfort-food spot called Barracuda to a French brasserie. 

As for the rooms, there are some unique layouts and options, from swim-up rooms to duplexes with rooftop jacuzzis. 

And yes, there’s a fitness center, meeting space and an anchor waterfront pool. 

It’s the second SLS-branded hotel in the Mexican Caribbean, joining the SLS Cancun, which opened back in 2021.

It’s part of a growing hub of all-inclusive resorts in this particular area of greater Cancun, a region sometimes dubbed the “New Cancun.”

What about pricing? 

You can book a “delight king” or “delight two-queen” room starting Nov. 10 for abut $551 per night. That rate goes up to just under $850 per night for a one-bedroom swim-out room. 

The aforementioned duplex rooms with rooftop hot tubs start at just under $1,000 per night.
