Prince Philip, Mickey Mantle, Johnny Depp, Bill Gates, Jimmy Buffett. They’ve all stayed here. It’s one of the most legendary hotels in The Bahamas — but you’ve likely never heard of it.
Set on the edge of the water across from Stocking Island in Exuma, the Peace ’n Plenty Hotel has been welcoming guests since 1958.
And now, after a $5 million renovation, the iconic boutique hotel has a new look.
The property just debuted the results of a major renovation, with renovated rooms, upgrade amenities, a reimagined lobby and upgraded dining experiences.
The hotel’s party piece remains its private shuttle to Stocking Island, where it has its own on-site beach club — perfect for extended afternoons with rum punches on white sand beach.
The hotel itself is a charming outpost right in the heart of historic George Town, one of the more beautiful island capitals in The Bahamas.
“We are thrilled to be able to offer our guests an enhanced experience while still maintaining the charm and history that have made the Peace and Plenty Hotel a cherished destination for more than 66 years,” said Patrick Faas, general manager of the hotel. “Our goal was to elevate every aspect of the property, while retaining the authenticity that has made us a favorite among jet setters and explorers alike.”
