A New Dominican Republic Golf Tournament Just For Women
It’s an exciting new concept for the Caribbean — an destination international golf tournament designed exclusively for women.
It’s the 1st Annual Ladies Open at the Casa de Campo Resort and Villas in La Romana, the Dominican Republic, and it’s set for Oct. 22-26.
The tournament will include four rounds on the property’s Pete Dye-designed tracks: Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore and The Links.
Participants will get a welcome dinner at the Teeth of the Dog’s Golf Learning Center; a 50-minute signature massage at The Spa; and an awards banquet at the Minitas Beach Club, among other inclusions.
Rates for the Ladies Open begin at $2,773 per golfer, based on double occupancy.
“The 1st Annual Ladies Open at Casa de Campo will be a momentous occasion for everyone involved onsite and especially for the skilled golfers competing,” says Kelly Sheehan, Casa de Campo’s director of golf sales. “The golf will speak for itself, but the outstanding accommodations, luxurious amenities and camaraderie we look forward to building will encourage many to come back and tell their friends about the experience as we begin to build our new marquee annual event.”
