American Airlines Is Launching Daily Nonstop Flights to the Island of Bonaire
It’s been setting tourism records of late, but the Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire hasn’t been very easy to get to from the United States.
But that’s starting to change in a big way.
First there was the news that JetBlue would be launching its first-ever flights from New York to Bonaire.
Now, American Airlines has revealed plans to launch daily nonstop service between Miami and Bonaire for the upcoming winter season.
In a massive boost for the island, American will be upgrading what had been three-times-per-week service from Miami to daily service.
Even better? American will also offer two flights on Saturdays, meaning eight flights per week.
The expansion will officially take effect on Dec. 7, operating through at least May 4, 2025.
American Airlines will be running the flights on its Boeing 737 aircraft.
“This increase in flights is a game-changer for Bonaire, providing more convenience and accessibility for travelers. We are excited to welcome our visitors to our island,” said Miles Mercera, CEO of Tourism Corporation Bonaire.
So what will the expanded Bonaire flights cost?
Right now, tickets are already on sale, with round-trip fares beginning at around $480.
