Hyatt Just Opened Its Newest Hotel in Mexico

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 25, 2023

Hyatt has officially opened the doors of its new Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes, set in the heart of one of the capital’s main business districts.

The 201-room high-rise hotel is the second Hyatt Regency in Mexico City, joining the existing Hyatt Regency Mexico City.

Eight of those rooms include their own large outdoor terraces overlooking the city’s Del Valle neighborhood.

“This new hotel represents a unique, new build project in the heart of the southern financial district of Mexico City with 24 floors, three curated food and beverage outlets, and contemporary guestrooms equipped for business and leisure travelers,” said Francisco Medina, CEO of Grupo Hotelero Santa Fe, which owns the hotel. “It has been a pleasure working with Hyatt on yet another spectacular project, and we look forward to what’s ahead in the growing region.”

The hotel’s amenities include a 24-hour fitness center, two spa rooms, a Regency Club Lounge and three dining concepts: the Mexican eatery called Muralis; the lobby lounge and bar called Elements; and the 7.24 Sky open-air terrace with a beverage offering focused on proseccos and champagnes.

There is also just under 4,700 square feet of event space and seven meeting rooms.

“We’re excited to debut Hyatt Regency Mexico City Insurgentes just steps from Mexico City’s World Trade Center on one of the most prominent and longest avenues in the capital city of Mexico,” said Carlo Bava, general manager of the new Hyatt. “Our prime location provides guests access to a thriving business hub just outside our doorstep. We look forward to offering guests, customers and World of Hyatt members the tools they need to stay connected and energized for a stress-free experience.”

Hyatt has been rapidly expanding its portfolio in the country, both with its eponymous brands and its Inclusive Collection, across brands like Secrets and Dreams.

Hyatt will be opening a new Mexican Caribbean, the Secrets Impression Isla Mujeres, resort next month on the island off the coast of Cancun.
