Island Routes Begins Reopening Jamaica Tours
Island Routes is steadily restoring its adventure lineup across Jamaica, with many of its signature tours now open and welcoming guests, Caribbean Journal has learned. The company said it is continuing to work closely with on-island partners as attractions reopen, focusing on safety, consistency and the high-touch guest experience that anchors its brand.
“We are proud of our team and partners across Jamaica who have worked tirelessly to bring our operations back safely,” said Ryan Terrier, CEO of Island Routes. “The strength and resilience of Jamaica is unmatched. As our experiences come back online, each guest who returns plays a real role in keeping Jamaica’s spirit thriving, all while enjoying the authentic, one-of-a-kind adventures that define us.”
Powerboat and catamaran experiences in Negril and Ocho Rios are expected to be fully operational by Dec. 6, the company said, a move that will restore some of Island Routes’ most recognizable tours. MINI-Routes “Drive Your Own” Adventures are also anticipated to return by the same date, giving travelers a guided way to explore the island’s inland landscapes and coastal roads.
Several ATV and river tours are now running again on select days, with some routes temporarily adjusted to prioritize safety and comfortable operating conditions. Island Routes said guests can expect a staged but steady resumption of the water and land adventures that have long anchored its portfolio.
In Ocho Rios, major attractions have begun welcoming visitors once more. Mystic Mountain and Dunn’s River Falls have both resumed operations with full activity rosters, while animal-encounter attractions have reopened on select days as part of phased restarts. Cultural experiences have returned as well, including the Bob Marley tours and the Main Street Rose Hall shopping experience.
The company said it will continue updating travelers and advisors as additional experiences return in the days ahead, encouraging guests with existing bookings to reach out to their Island Routes representative for the latest operating details
