Arajet Just Launched San Juan-Santo Domingo Flights

By: Alexander Britell - June 4, 2025 - 2:47 pm

The Dominican Republic has made growing local aviation a major priority in recent years, and one airline is the fruit of those efforts: Arajet, the fast-growing carrier which has been adding flights both around the region and across the ocean.

The airline has officially launched its new service between San Juan and Santo Domingo.

For now, it’s a four-times-weekly flight connecting Puerto Rico’s biggest city with the Dominican Republic’s increasingly popular capital.

The new flight is a “new chapter” in the relationship between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, the DR’s Tourism Minister, David Collado said Wednesday in a statement.

“We keep growing,” the airline said in a statement, pointing to its fast-expanding network of flights that will soon include routes from major US cities including Boston, Chicago and Orlando. This month, Arajet is also adding Miami and New York flights to Punta Cana.

Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic recently announced a plan to push island-hopping travel that includes both destinations.

So what about prices? If you check one bag, the Santo Domingo-San Juan flights will cost you about $233.79 roundtrip.
