Marriott Just Added Two New Adults-Only Resorts on Barbados’ Most Famous Stretch of Beaches
The West Coast of Barbados. It’s the island’s capital of glamour, of luxury, elegance and serenity. They call it the Platinum Coast, and whether you’re lazing on Mullins Beach, shopping in Hometown or taking a culinary odyssey at The Cliff, you quickly get the point. What you may not know, however, is that while the area has some famous luxury hotels, it’s also quietly become a haven for all-inclusive resorts.
The newest additions? A pair of boutique resorts that just joined Marriott’s Autograph Collection: the Waves Resort and the re-branded Treasure Beach Art Hotel.
Both are the newest additions to Marriott’s quickly-expanding All-Inclusive by Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, which now includes dozens of properties across the broader Caribbean.
So what do you need to know? The Waves is a 70-key, adults-only retreat perched right over the sand, with a focus on wellness and a trio of restaurants. It’s set on a beach that’s perfect for enjoying the water, from paddling to Hobie sailing.

Then there’s Treasure Beach, which now has the word “Art” in its name, and that’s not a surprise given the property’s hip, colorful aesthetic, particularly in the suites, which include some bright, colorful accents on the bedspreads and the furniture. Treasure Beach is also adults-only, and it’s more intimate, to the tune of just 35 rooms, all suites, with touches like Nespresso machines and a focus on the island’s culture. The “art” philosophy extends all over the resort, with easels on the deck if you want to try your hand at a Caribbean landscape and even the option to do art “crawls” to survey the island’s local art scene.
We’ve been to both properties, enjoying our stays at each resort. The Waves is a bit more energetic, more appropriate for active travelers. Treasure Beach is quieter, more serene; it’s a place for reflection, beachside books and honeymoons.
Their addition to the Marriott collection is a sign of its unique diversity; Marriott now has a vast number of all-inclusive options for every kind of traveler, whether your’e looking for a more traditional, larger all-inclusive or something like these Platinum Coast properties, where you get a bit more of an in-depth dive into the island.

Treasure Beach and Waves are part of what was formerly the Elegant Hotels portfolio (which Marriott first bought in 2021 when it began its push into the all-inclusive ecosystem). Other former Elegant resorts including The House, Tamarind and Colony Club will be joining Autograph later this year as well.
So what about prices?
For The Waves, you can find rooms in March starting at $1,204 per night, all-inclusive. For a an oceanfront room, the price goes up to about $1,414. Treasure Beach rooms start at $934 per nigh if you pre pay, with a $1,189 per night rate if you want an ocean-view room.
Of course, being part of Bonvoy, you can also book with points: The Waves, for example, is running about 125,000 points per night right now on the Bonvoy app.
Barbados is also easier to get to than, well, ever, including from the US. Google Flights data show Miami-Barbados fares at $522 roundtrip right now, and Newark-Barbados as low as $265 on United.
