The Caribbean’s Newest All-Inclusive Is a “Classic and Comfortable” Adults-Only Bungalow Resort With Four Beaches
An infinity pool with a view of Antigua’s iconic Hawksbill Rock. Classic 1960s looks. Outdoor showers. Four different white sand beaches. A true boutique feel.
The legendary Hawskbill resort in Antigua is back, and it’s got a totally new look following a significant upgrade to the whole property, one that covered everything from new decks to better beach access to the aforementioned pool.
It’s a new look for one of Antigua’s best-known properties, a 106-room retreat that is instantly one of the region’s new must-visit adults-only hideaways.
It’s a property that’s all about the feel — a mix of midcentury charm and authentic Caribbean flavor, with the kind of space that Antigua and Barbuda specializes in: 30 acres of it.
Then there are those beaches: four of them, from the private Sea Grapes beach to the hidden-away stretch of sand called Honeymoon Cove to the endlessly long Royal Palm Beach.
In an added perk, one of the four beaches is the legendary Eden Beach — the only clothing-optional beach in the whole country.
So what else you need to know?
There’s free Wi-Fi, nightly entertainment, fitness equipment,
There’s also the option of spa treatments and touches like dinner on the beach. There’s room service, too, for a $20 fee. All the rooms come with smart TVs and
But the best thing might just be the prices: you can find rooms for as low as $423 per night even in high season, a decidedly affordable rate for a secluded, laid-back property, one the Hawskbill team likes to call “classic and comfortable,” as they tell Caribbean Journal.
If it all sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the latest addition to the Caribbean Beach Cottages portfolio, which includes the lovely boutique Keyonna Beach hotel (a property we’ve long raved about) and the COCOS Hotel, both part of Antigua’s enviable collection of all-inclusive resorts.
Antigua is famous for its all-inclusive resorts, and with good reason: the twin-island hotspot is home to the best collection of all-inclusives, well, anywhere, from larger retreats to secret, intimate hotels. We’ve stayed at all of the island’s top properties, and Hawskbill is another fine addition and fits right in to the island’s mix of intimate luxury and laid-back cool.
Are you heading to Antigua? The island has more flights than ever. From Miami, you can fly for $684 round-trip in February. From New York, you can take JetBlue or American for just $314 roundtrip, according to Google Flights.
