This Overwater Resort in Panama Is Getting a New Treehouse Spa
While the South Pacific gets much of the attention, there’s another part of the world with quite a few overwater resort options – and it’s actually in the Caribbean. We’re talking about the Caribbean coast of Panama, which has a number of boutique resorts with full-fledged overwater bungalows.
One of the best is the Nayara Bocas del Toro, the first Caribbean resort by celebrated Costa Rican hotel brand Nayara, a collection of solar-powered overwater units with an adults-only concept.
And now Nayara Bocas is getting another new addition: a treehouse spa, designed by Bali-based design firm IBUKU.
The spa, built out of petrified wood and local bamboo, uses only all-natural products by sustainable brand Biosfera, which is made by hand in Costa Rica.
The new spa will officially debut next month, a spokesperson for the property told Caribbean Journal.
So what does Nayara Bocas del Toro cost? Right now, rooms are priced at around $1,398 per night.
