Hyatt Is Opening a Second Unbound Collection Hotel in Panama, With a Sculpture Park and Roman Baths
If you haven’t been to the Casco Antiguo in Panama, you’re missing out on one of the coolest old towns in the wider Caribbean Basin.
The neighborhood recently debuted a new hotel called La Compañia, part of Hyatt’s Unbound Collection in the old city.
Now, the La Compañia brand is expanding, with its second hotel: Hotel La Compañia del Valle, set to open early next year.
The new hotel, which will also be part of Hyatt’s Unbound Collection, will be set about 50 miles away from the Casco Antiguo property.
It will be an art and wellness-focused resort, including a sculpture park with art pieces throughout the property and a focus on exploring Panama’s natural environment.
That’s along with an 18,000-square-foot spa including everything from Roman baths to wine therapy and a saltwater pool.
“Following the successful opening of Hotel La Compañia, we’re taking the elevated experience to El Valle de Anton. Hotel La Compañía del Valle further expands Hyatt’s brand presence in Panamá in a destination that is truly a hidden gem,” Hyatt’s Camilo Bolaños said in a statement provided to Caribbean Journal.
The hotel is inspired by a “Tuscan retreat,” with a total of 70 rooms and several different wings with views of the surrounding landscape.
It will also include a trio of dining options, all focused on “fresh and seasonal ingredients.”
The hotel has not yet revealed pricing.
