It’s been one of the fastest-growing destinations in the Caribbean in recent years, and now San Juan’s Luis Munoz Marin International Airport has another new route.
JetBlue just kicked off its first-ever flight from Providence to San Juan, Puerto Rico on Monday, inaugurating another new Caribbean route from the New England market.
The first flight from Providence touched down late Monday morning.
The new flight, which is operating every day, will also be operating all year round, JetBlue confirmed.
So what does the new flight cost?
Right now, you can find Providence-San Juan flights for as low as $230.60 roundtrip, for itineraries in the second week of November. That’s on JetBlue’s entry-level Blue Basic fare. The price goes up to $270.60 if you go for JetBlue’s more popular Blue fare.
The flight takes about four hours.
More carriers have been adding flights to the Caribbean out of New England, including cities like New Haven and Hartford, in recent years, with Puerto Rico a popular destination.
