This Tiny Boutique is the Only Adults-Only Hotel in the British Virgin Islands

Cornucopia BVI.

It remains something of a well-regarded secret. In a territory famous for its charter yachts and private islands, the British Virgin Islands is actually home to a true adults-only hotel.

It’s called The Cornucopia, and it’s an in-the-know spot for sophisticated travelers. The resort, which just reopened for the season this week, is tiny: just five rooms in all, four deluxe rooms joined by a master suite.

That’s because the resort originally started life as a villa before transforming into a boutique hotel. But that means you’re getting the best of both worlds: hotel service and a villa lifestyle.

So what is it actually like?

It’s a secret hotel.

It’s a fusion of country French and Caribbean, with one-of-a-kind linens, custom-made furniture and a nearby beach that’s practically your own private stretch of sand.

Then there’s the breakfast: a full-fledged gourmet breakfast buffet, with sparkling rosé or a passionfruit Bellini,  and eggs Benedict.

Then there are the little touches: the honor bar, the service, the pet menu (yes, it’s extremely pet-friendly, highlighted by the resort’s famous dog, Campari.

It’s a unique, local, authentic way to experience the island of Virgin Gorda, a destination that’s one of our favorite places in the Caribbean.

So what does it cost?

Rates start at $850 right now, including daily breakfast.

Are you heading to Virgin Gorda? The best place to get there is by flying on Tradewind Aviation’s route from San Juan.
