The Caribbean’s Newest Relais & Châteaux Property Is an All-Inclusive Resort
It’s the newest member of the foodie-focused Relais & Chateaux portfolio: Curtain Bluff, the all-inclusive resort set on a stunning promontory in Antigua.
The resort, which first opened its doors back in 1962, just reopened for the season with a new focus on its culinary program, including updates to its signature Sea Grape restaurant.
“It’s always a time of high anticipation in the run-up to the new season, and with our recent Relais & Châteaux membership status, our team is further motivated to develop low-footprint culinary experiences that showcase wellness remedies and ingredients enjoyed across the island,” Managing Director Rob Sherman told Caribbean Journal. “Throughout the season, from our wellness cooking classes to the updated Sea Grape restaurant, guests will enjoy thoughtful Caribbean cuisine inspired by the surrounding nature.”
Sea Grape, the hotel’s beachfront eatery, is now an adults-only restaurant for dinner, with new dishes like yellowtail tuna carpaccio and pan-seared wahoo.
The resort has also debuted a new “mindful menu,” which features locally-focused, healthy dishes ranging from mahi-mahi filets with breadfruit chips to crunchy conch tacos.
We’ve stayed at the resort countless times, and it remains one of the iconic beach resorts in the Caribbean, from its stunning elevated suites to an always-impressive food program.
It’s one of a small collection of Relais and Chateaux members in the Caribbean, ranging from the Secret Bay resort in Dominica to the Calabash resort in Grenada.
