Dominica Just Launched Digital Immigration Forms for Visitors. Here’s What You Need to Know.
Heading to the Nature Island? The immigration process has gone digital. The island of Dominica has officially unveiled its new online immigration forms for embarkation and disembarkation, Caribbean Journal has confirmed.
The new process makes it easier to visit and cuts down on waiting times when you arrive at the airport.
So how do you do it?
First, long on to the ED Form (you can find it here); fill out the form and get a QR code. It’s that easy. Just present your QR code when you arrive at the airport.
“By introducing online immigration forms, we are taking a significant step towards modernizing our travel processes and enhancing the overall visitor experience,” said Marva Williams, the island’s Director of Tourism, in a statement to Caribbean Journal. “We believe this initiative will simplify entry into Dominica and showcase our commitment to providing exceptional service to our guests.”
The form is part of a welcome trend in the Caribbean, as more destinations implement digital forms. Another island, St Maarten, just put in place a similar form earlier this month.
