Flying to Caribbean Islands Like St Barth and Tortola Just Got Easier
They’re some of the most sought after – and difficult to reach – destinations in the Caribbean: St Barth, Anguilla, Virgin Gorda, Tortola.
The villas in St Barth; the beaches (and Baths) of Virgin Gorda; the luxury resorts in Anguilla. It’s a rarefied corner of the Caribbean.
Of course, the remoteness – and the journey — is part of the charm — and that’s where luxury airline Tradewind Aviation comes in, with regular service to all of the destinations out of San Juan.
But now traveling to these hotspots just got easier, with Tradedwind’s new interline partnership with JetBlue.
The agreement means you can make a single-booking purchase and check your luggage through all the way to places like St Barth.
The agreement opens up islands like St Barth and Tortola to more than a dozen different US cities, from New York to Boston to Raleigh to Philadelphia, that all have nonstop flights to Puerto Rico.
So what does that mean?
It means you can book one JetBlue ticket from Raleigh to St Barth, or one ticket from Boston to Virgin Gorda — arriving in San Juan, taking a short stop in Tradewind’s luxe airport lounge, then hopping on one of the airline’s sleek Pilatus aircraft for the island-hopping flight. (Tradewind is soon launching its first-ever San Juan-Tortola service, too).
Tradewind operates both scheduled and charter service across the region from Puerto Rico. The airline also recently debuted a new base in Palm Beach, from which it will soon be flying scheduled service to Bahamian destinations including Marsh Harbour, Abaco and North Eleuthera (the latter being the gateway to Harbour Island).
Tickets are now already available on most major booking platforms, with JetBlue set to make them available soon as well.
