All-inclusive resorts, pristine beaches, golf, cocktails and water sports. Punta Cana’s success as a destination isn’t a secret – it’s a tried-and-true formula that has helped turn the area into the Caribbean’s most popular destination.

What is secret is the area’s newest place to stay: the highly-anticipated new Secrets Tides Punta Cana, part of Hyatt’s fast-growing Inclusive Collection.

Hyatt has officially welcomed its first guests to the $190 million, 668-room, adults-only resort.

The newest Secrets in the Caribbean.

The new property, set in the Uvero Alto neighborhood of greater Punta Cana, has multiple infinity pools, a signature spa and 16 different dining concepts, ranging from a Mediterranean eatery called Meraki to a traditional international buffet restaurant.

Yes, there is a Preferred Club, something we’ve sung the praises of at other Secrets resorts (Montego Bay, we’re looking at you), one that includes a dedicated lounge and pool, upgraded amenities and tailored concierge service, among other touches.

What you get is the Secrets experience: a sleek, modern feel, a fun, but never rowdy adults-only all-inclusive experience, and a pristine stretch of beach.

So what does it all cost?

For a 668-square-foot king or two-double-bed junior suite, you’ll be paying about $265 per person per night, according to Hyatt’s Web site.

Flying in means a nonstop flight to Punta Cana International Airport — one of the easiest-to-access airports in the Caribbean, with flights from all over the continental United States.
