Marriott is set to debut new overwater bungalows in the Caribbean.

Marriott’s fast-expanding all-inclusive portfolio is launching a major new addition this fall: a collection of 12 overwater bungalows at its Royalton CHIC resort in Antigua.

The new bungalows at the adults-only Royalton CHIC Antigua, which is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, will be unveiled in September 2024, the property confirmed to Caribbean Journal.

And they’re now officially available for booking.

Each of the new suites has a crystal glass floor, along with a private butler, rooms service from seven different restaurants; a private check-in, smart TVs and premium sound systems.

So what else do you get?

The bungalows have up to 3,049 square feet of space, private terraces with their own plunge pools and even overwater hammocks.

They come in three different categories: Chairman, Presidential and Junior Suites. All of them are part of Royalton’s Diamond Club elevated room category, which also includes access to its own private pools and beach area at the resort.

In the last few years, the Caribbean has seen a boom in new overwater bungalow resorts, a trend that largely began with Sandals’ new overwater bungalows at its Royal Caribbean resort back in 2016.

Royalton, though, is the only Antigua resort company with overwater units — with the soon-to-debut bungalows joining its Chairman’s Overwater Bungalows at the Royalton Antigua resort.

So what do they cost?

The overwater bungalows at the Royalton CHIC start at $1,800 per person, per night, according to the company.
