Cayman Islands to Host Major Caribbean Tourism Conference

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - July 23, 2024

The Cayman Islands will play host to the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s State of the Tourism Industry conference this year, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The annual event, a high-level gathering of top tourism stakeholders from around the region, will run Sept. 2-6 at the Westin Grand Cayman Seven Mile Beach Resort and Spa.

This year’s event will include keynote speakers and thought leaders in areas like technology, aviation and sustainability; panel discussions on the latest trends; and network opportunities with industry peers, partners and media.

“As tourism solidifies its role as the region’s primary economic driver, SOTIC convenes a diverse array of regional and global leaders, thought leaders, decision-makers, and influencers,” the Caribbrean Tourism Organization said in a statement. “Together, they strategize on fostering competitiveness and sustainable growth within the industry.”

This year’s event will be held under the theme of “Caribbean Tourism — Fueling Our Lifeblood.”
