Montego Bay’s top luxury resort, Half Moon, is open to welcome guests following Hurricane Beryl, the property confirmed to Caribbean Journal.
The signature Montego Bay beach resort was recently assessed by a survey crew; all utilities and resort amenities have now been restored.
The 400-acre resort was “well-prepared” for the passage of Beryl, the property said in a statement.
“The safety and comfort of service professionals and guests were Half Moon’s top priority,” the resort said. “Chefs, maintenance, housekeeping, security and management team were on hand to ensure guests felt comfortable, informed and secure as the storm passed.”
The property has long been Montego Bay’s signature luxury resort, a position only strengthened by the post-pandemic debut of Eclipse at Half Moon, a luxe resort-within-a-resort concept at the hotel.
“While we were all anxious about the effects of Hurricane Beryl, we were well prepared with our emergency management procedures and were in full gear to secure both lives and property,” said General Manager Shernette Crichton.
Half Moon is currently in the midst of a dramatic transformation of its Rose Hall Villas, a top Caribbean villa resort.
