Another new route is coming to the southern Caribbean next week, part of ultra-low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines’ new Caribbean expansion.

The latest destination? Port of Spain, Trinidad, which will be welcoming its first-ever flights on Frontier beginning July 11.

The new service will run between San Juan, Puerto Rico and Trinidad’s capital, with flights operating three times per week.

If you haven’t been following, it’s part of a new strategy by Frontier to expand its footprint in the intra-Caribbean aviation market.

The starting fare? Around $59, although it’s not clear how long it will stay that cheap.

The new route opens up Trinidad to Frontier’s network of connections from San Juan across the United States.
