If you’ve been following Caribbean aviation recently, you’ve seen the growth of airlift out of San Juan, Puerto Rico’s Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, where a host of carriers are adding new flights around the region.
Now you can add JetBlue to that list.
The company is quietly beginning an intra-Caribbean expansion out of San Juan, with plans for a new route this fall: Cancun.
Beginning Oct. 28, 2024, JetBlue will be operating three weekly flights between San Juan and Cancun, the white-hot destination on the Caribbean coast of Mexico.
The move boosts the growing demand for Cancun from within Puerto Rico and creates new connections for travelers through San Juan from both North and South America.
