Mazatlan has been one of the fastest-growing destinations in Mexico in recent years, with a booming hotel pipeline and continued flight growth, out of the United States and Canada.
Now, it’s the newest home of Hyatt’s quickly-expanding Dreams all-inclusive brand.
The company has officially opened its new Dreams Estrella Mazatlan resort, an all-suite hotel that’s Hyatt’s first-ever property in the destination.
“We are thrilled to introduce guests and World of Hyatt members to the pearl of Mexico’s pacific coast. The opening of Dreams Estrella del Mar Mazatlán Golf & Spa Resort represents an opportunity to contribute greater value to Hyatt’s existing portfolio in the rapidly growing market by offering guests the first Hyatt resort in this brand-new destination,” said Gabriel Felip, the Inclusive Collection’s President for Latin America and the Caribbean.
The property is about 20 minutes from downtown Mazatlan, with 358 suites and all-inclusive amenities ranging from a daily-stocked minibar to 24-hour in-room dining.
That comes with amenities like a full-size football field and a collection of swim-out rooms.
It makes the property an ideal family resort, says Alma Gomez, the Dreams Mazatlan’s general manager.
As with all Dreams properties, there is a Preferred Club, which grants access to extra amenities, a specialized check in and even touches like a pillow enu.
There is also an adults-only area that has its own pool and swim-up bar.
The golf in the resort’s name comes from the adjacent Estrella Del Mar Golf Course, an 18-hole course that gives guests free greens fees and driving range access.
