Caribbean Week Is Coming Back to New York

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - April 5, 2024

The premier summer celebration of the world of the Caribbean is making its triumphant return to New York City this summer, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The Caribbean Tourism Organization’s Caribbean Week is making a comeback in June after not having been held since before the pandemic.

This year’s event, held under the theme of “Connecting the Globe, Celebrating Diversity,” will run from June 16 to 21.

Caribbean Week, held during the annual Caribbean Heritage month, will include popular events like the Caribbean Media Marketplace, Caribbean Media Awards, CTO business meetings and a range of events around the city.

“Caribbean Week in New York isn’t just an event; it’s a landmark engagement to celebrate the Caribbean’s vibrant, diverse and resilient spirit,” said Kenneth Bryan, chairman of the Caribbean Tourism Organization and Minister of Tourism for the Cayman Islands. “This week is an incredible opportunity to showcase the Caribbean, not only as a premier tourist destination, but as a region of forward-thinkers and cultural ambassadors.”
