Hyatt’s Newest Caribbean All-Inclusive Just Opened in Tulum
Mangroves, bohemian beach bars, wellness centers. Tulum has become one of the most sought-after destinations in the wider Caribbean in recent years.
That includes interest from major hotel brands, which have been opening new resorts across Tulum, particularly since the pandemic.
Now, another major brand has debuted in the Mexican Caribbean hotspot: Hyatt.
The company’s Secrets brand has opened its new Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club in the heart of Tulum, the latest in a growing portfolio of all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean.
The new Secrets Tulum has 300 suites (along with a standalone private villa) in the Aldea Zama complex, a few minutes from the beach set in the heart of lush Yucatan jungle.
Since its acquisition of Apple Leisure Group in 2021, Hyatt has grown to achieve what is now the largest portfolio of luxury all-inclusive resorts in the world, a collection that includes 12 Secrets-branded resorts.
They’re all part of Hyatt’s “Inclusive Collection.”
“We are proud of the Inclusive Collection’s continued growth in Mexico with the opening of Secrets Tulum Resort & Beach Club, reaffirming our commitment to investing in the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand based on demand from guests and World of Hyatt members,” said Gonzalo del Peón, Group President, Americas and Global Commercial for Inclusive Collection.
The resort has eight different dining concepts, including three a la carte eateries, along with a beach club in the heart of Tulum’s Hotel Zone. That comes along with a rooftop bar, a music lounge and even a sports bar, among other watering holes.
True to the brand, there’s a Secrets Spa by Pevonia, along with a broad slate of programming from wellness and yoga offerings to mixology lessons and dance classes.
“This resort provides the best of both worlds – the eclectic allure of downtown Tulum coupled with access to pristine beaches via a lively, chic beach club,” said del Peon.
