Startup Dominican Republic airline Arajet has officially launched its newest service between Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and Curacao International Airport.
The new low-cost carrier is initially starting with two weekly flights between the two Caribbean destinations.
The flights will operate on Thursdays and Sundays, with a flight time of about one hour and a half.
“The arrival of Arajet in Curacao begins a new era of low prices for tourism and business in the region,” said Ruisandro Cijntje, Curacao’s Minister of Economic Development.
Arajet said Curacao’s air hub is one of ht “key air connectivity” centers in the wider Caribbean.
The launch of Dominican Republic-Curacao service comes after Arajet, which just started operations earlier this summer, began flights between Aruba and Santo Domingo.
