A New Executive Chef at the Curacao Marriott

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - September 14, 2022 - 4:20 pm

The Curacao Marriott Beach Resort has named a new executive chef, Caribbean Journal has learned.

The property has tapped Eric Sala to the role, in which he will oversee all kitchen operations at the resort’s four dining concepts.

Sala was most recently at the InterContinental San Jose in Costa Rica, where he managed five restaurants and a pair of convention centers.

Sala is joined by a new Sous Chef, Martijn Liebregts, whose eight years in the industry include experience at a Michelin-starred concept.

The property says Liebregts is “well acquainted” with Caribbean-style dining.

The resort’s restaurants include Zaia Gastro Lounge, the Salty Iguana Ocean Grill, Cspice and Izakaya Sushi Bar.
