TUI Ramps Up Jamaica Flights for Summer Season
Tour operator TUI has significantly ramped up its flight service to Jamaica this summer, Caribbean Journal has learned.
The company has increased its flight program to the island by 10,000 seats this summer, according to Torrance Lewis, district sales manager for the Jamaica Tourist Board.
“We are delighted that TUI has seen such strong demand this year that it has increased its flight program by 10,000 seats this summer,” Lewis said.
TUI has been the leading tour operator for Jamaica for “many years,” said Donovan White, Jamaica’s Director of Tourism.
“We are proud of our strong partnership with the TUI group and we very much look forward to building and strengthening our relationship,” he said, speaking following a familiarization trip to the island by 20 United Kingdom-based travel agents.
It’s another sign of Jamaica and the wider Caribbean’s growing position as a year-round destination, a trend that took hold in the heart of the pandemic.
