Hollywood legend and celebrated hotelier Robert De Niro has unveiled the next phase of his development on the Caribbean island on Barbuda.
It’s the new Beach Club at Nobu, the new Barbuda outpost of the renowned Japanese eatery that opened last year.
The new Beach Club is what the company calls an “all-day Nobu experience,” with five private cabanas, including one for VIP experiences, along with a lounge and private dining.
The beach club also boasts its own “Caribbean-style lounge bar,” with a mix of Nobu dishes featuring Barbuda-sourced seafood.
The restaurant, which opened last year and has become the kind of hotspot that draws in guests by helicopter from Antigua, includes signatures like Barbudan lobster and fresh red snapper.
De Niro is already working on what will be the new Nobu Beach Inn, Nobu’s first-ever hotel In the Caribbean, and another big step for Barbuda’s post-hurricane recovery.
That includes the highly-anticipated Barbuda Ocean Club, the second Caribbean development for Discovery Land Company, the team behind the celebrated Baker’s Bay in Abaco.
Nobu Beach Inn will include a broad offering that features a hotel, spa and wellness retreat, along with a private residential component.
