Ritz-Carlton’s First Caribbean Cruise Will Homeport in Puerto Rico
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection’s first Caribbean cruises will set sail out of Puerto Rico.
The Port of San Juan will be home to the high-end cruise line’s first voyages in the region.
The Evrima, the first of three company yachts, will make its maiden voyage in the Caribbean in November 2021.
““The selection of the port of San Juan for the debut of the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, and the inclusion of the ports of San Juan, Ponce and Vieques in the Evrima yacht itineraries is excellent news for tourism, as it positions Puerto Rich as a world-class destination that meets the rigorous standards of excellence and high quality that distinguish the Ritz-Carlton and ushers in a new era of luxury cruises on the Island,” said Carlos Mercado Santiago, executive director of the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.
The company will be making nine visits to Puerto Rico during the upcoming high season.
“Ritz-Carlton is once again betting on the Island as a world-class destination and the ideal place to start a new stage in its operations,” Mercado said.
From Nov. 2021 to February 2022, the ship will carry out six homeports in San Juan, with two visits to Vieques and one visit to Ponce.
The first itinerary will include stops in Virgin Gorda, St Maarten, St Kitts, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Saint Lucia.
The 149-suite Evrima has everything from nine restaurants to a pool, spa and gym.
