By: Caribbean Journal Staff - June 15, 2021

The Cabot Saint Lucia golf resort project in Saint Lucia has named its new Director of Golf: Jason McCarty.

The resort community in northern Saint Lucia, which will be headlined by the first-ever Caribbean golf course by Coore & Crenshaw, is slated to open in 2022.

Cabot Saint Lucia, set 1.5 miles of coastline on a 375-acre peninsula, will also include a boutique resort.

McCarty will lead all golf operations at the 18-hole Cabot Point golf course, which will include nine holes along the Caribbean Sea.

He’s a Class A PGA member with 20 years of experience, most recently at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, New York.

“We are thrilled to welcome one of the most talented and knowledgeable individuals in golf to Cabot Saint Lucia during this key stage in our development,” said Ben Cowan-Dewar, CEO and Co-founder of Cabot. “Jason McCarty is a lifelong student of the game who brings invaluable insight from the world’s top golf clubs. He has a proven track record of providing unparalleled service and he is the perfect leader for the legendary golf experience Bill and Ben are creating at Cabot Point.”
