A Leading US Virgin Islands Hotel Is For Sale
The leading boutique hotel in St Croix, US Virgin Islands is for sale, Caribbean Journal Invest has learned.
The Fred, the new boutique hotel that’s brought a major injection of energy into Frederiksted, St Croix, has been listed for sale with Diane K. Burns of Coldwell Banker St Croix Realty.
The listing price is $6.9 million.
“This is the best and most creative development in 30 years [in St Croix],” Burns told Caribbean Journal Invest.
The hotel, the first new hotel to open in St Croix since 1986, comprises 23 total guest rooms across six renovated and preserved historic structures.
The property includes an infinity pool, a hot tub, a sky deck with a second bar and a lounge pool, a spa, a gift shop, an integrated sound system, microturbine generators, a mosquito misting system and landscaping with built-in irrigation.
It also has a 140-foot beach boardwalk and 230 feet of beachfront, including EDC tax benefits.
The property also has a coastal zone management permit to construct an 80-foot dock.
The Fred has been part of a renaissance in Frederiksted, the historic town on the western coast of St Croix, which has seen new development in recent years, including strong growth in the culinary sector.
“What these developers did with this [historic] property is amazing to say the least,” Burns said.
