Caribbean Moment: The Sound of Sunset in Martinique

It’s somewhere between the setting of the sun and twilight, when all you hear are the gentle laps of waves and the early chirps of tree frogs.

Here at the Hotel Bakoua on the Bay of Fort de France, it is still and serene and mystical.

And as you sit and watch the orange-purple sky, you listen to the amphibious metronome, lulling you to a different stratum of tranquility.
