JetBlue Caps Off Strong Year of Traffic Growth

JetBlue capped off a strong 2019 with another solid month of traffic growth, according to the latest numbers from the New York City-based air carrier. 

JetBlue reported 4.6 billion revenue passenger miles in December, a 5.7 percent increase over the same month in 2018. 

Available seat miles rose by 4.4 percent, while load factor rose by 1 percentage point to 82.4 percent in the same period. 

For the year, JetBlue saw 53.61 billion revenue passenger miles in 2019, which represented a 5.6 percent jump over 2018. 

Available seat miles rose by 6.6 percent last year to 63.8 billion, or 63.8 million total. 

JetBlue continues to expand its network in the wider Caribbean; its next stop? The French Caribbean archipelago of Guadeloupe, with service set to begin in February
