One of Curacao’s most popular hotels is getting a makeover.
The Renaissance Curacao Resort and Casino, set in the heart of Willemstad, is undergoing an “extensive refresh” project.
The project, which began April 1, will be completed in multiple phases, according to the Curacao Hotel and Tourism Association.
That includes upgrades of the main restaurant, the lobby area and the casino, the first phase of which is slated for completion by August.
The hotel’s guest rooms are also getting a makeover, with that project slated for a December completion.
The Renaissance, which is also home of the Dutch Caribbean island’s main shopping hubs, has a total of 237 rooms in a four-story complex.
