One of the hottest sailing events in the world is set for its latest edition in Antigua and Barbuda.
The 52nd edition of Antigua Sailing Week begins April 27 with the world-renowned regatta expected to welcome more than 100 yachts this year, from 24 feet to over 100 feet.
It’s all centered in Antigua’s signature, spectacular Falmouth Harbour.
The regatta brings together yachts of all kinds, including serious racing boats and high-tech boats and cruising vessels alike.
The five-day-long racing series entails courses of all kinds, with nightly parties and hundreds of locals and visitors turning the evening hours into a full-fledged festival.
This year will include the fifth edition of the Royal Southern Yacht Club Challenge, with yacht clubs around the world sending crews in five different classes.
The Peters & May Round Antigua Race kicks off the activities the Saturday before ASW, with sailing and events running through May 3.
And even if you’re not on a boat, it’s one of the most energetic weeks all year on the island.
