Fresh off its expansion to Tobago, Canadian travel giant Sunwing has announced plans to launch its first-ever flights to the island of Grenada.
The new nonstop flights from Toronto will operate on Sundays from Dec. 16 through April 21, 2019.
It’s another boost for Grenada out of the Canadian market, with Air Canada Rouge recently upping its frequencies to the island.
“We pride ourselves on seeking out the best destinations for our customers to experience each year. The island of Grenada is a welcome addition to our ever-expanding roster as it offers travelers access to one of the Caribbean’s hidden gems,” said Andrew Dawson, president of tour operations at Sunwing. “We’re sure our customers will appreciate discovering its white-sand beaches, lush spice gardens and laid-back island vibe.”
The property is working with a collection of local hotels, including the recently-rebranded Starfish Grenada and the Coyaba Beach Resort on Grand Anse beach.
Sunwing’s recent flight expansion comes after the signing of its new strategic alliance with Rex Resorts, under which the company has added new markets like Tobago and Grenada.
