Night Flights Resume in Anguilla

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - September 27, 2018

By the Caribbean Journal staff

You can now fly to Anguilla all day long.

The island’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport has officially received approval to resume nighttime flights, officials at the Anguilla Air and Sea Ports Authority said this week.

Night operations had been suspended at the airport since it was severely damaged during Hurricane Irma.

Now, thanks to new lighting systems and a new Instrument Flight Procedure based on global positioning technology, night flights are back.

The airport will soon be getting another boost when luxury airline Tradewind returns its service to the island in December.
